Preserving, protecting and enhancing the quality of life and natural environment in south Walton

What is SWCC?

The South Walton Community Council (SWCC) is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, protecting and enhancing the quality of life and unique natural environment in South Walton County in the Florida Panhandle.

Founded in 1995, SWCC is a nonpartisan coalition of residents, property owners, area employees, neighborhood associations, business owners and community leaders working together toward shared goals.

Through educational programs, community outreach, capacity building, and issue advocacy, SWCC works to preserve South Walton's fine natural assets: beaches, dunes, coastal dune lakes, floodplains, wetlands, forests and native vegetation.

"Our family appreciates the role the SWCC plays in being a conscientious steward of our community's natural resources. Thank you for the balance you bring to the planning which surrounds the development of the Emerald Coast."
Laura Dugas, President of the Dugas Family  Foundation

"SWCC is the most effective advocacy organization in our county working to preserve the unique character of our area and its environment. There is no more important organization to support when it comes to preserving the quality of life in South Walton County."
Dave Rauschkolb, Owner, Bud & Alley's Restaurant, Seaside & Founder of Hands Across the Sand
